Martinsville High School will host an exclusive job fair for its senior class on Friday, May 17 as part of the school’s annual Decision Day activities.
The senior job fair, co-sponsored by Martinsville City Public Schools, the Martinsville-Henry County Chamber of Commerce, and the West Piedmont Workforce Development Board, will provide members of the MHS Class of 2024 the opportunity to connect with local employers looking to fill a variety of part-time and full-time positions ranging from certified nursing assistants and manufacturing roles to customer service representatives and IT jobs. The salaries for these positions range from $12 to $35 per hour.
Eight local employers have confirmed their attendance: Piney Forest Health and Rehab, Riverside Health and Rehab, Press Glass, AmeriStaff Inc., Eastman Performance Films, Virginia Glass & Mirror, YoungWilliams, and Brand Builders.
In addition to the participating employers, two community partners—Virginia CareerWorks and Patrick & Henry Community College—will also be in attendance to provide information about workforce training programs, job search assistance, and higher education pathways.
Participating students will be entered into a raffle for gift cards!
